Dylan Chambost Named Player of The Matchday of Matchday 32

Columbus Crew midfielder Dylan Chambost earned MLS Player of the Matchday honors for Matchday 32. His performance also earned him Team of the Matchweek honors, his first inclusion this season.

Chambost provided three assists in the Crew’s 4-2 win over Toronto FC this past weekend. He became just the sixth player in Club history to record three assists in a regular-season game, and the first to do so since Alex Matan’s three-assist performance in March 2023. He also tied for the second-most assists in a regular-season match this season. In the 2026 campaign, Chambost has seven assists across all competitions, just one shy of his previous single-season high (eight in 2025). Chambost’s performance lifted Columbus to 10th place in the Eastern Conference with 38 points (11-15-5), just one point behind MLS originals New York Red Bulls.

“I just saw on the screen, and the coach said it at the end of the game,” said Chambost.

“Yeah, of course, I’m proud. Three assists, it’s rare, so yeah. I’m really happy to help the team today, and yeah, it was a good night.”

Chambost is the second consecutive French player to be named MLS Player of the Matchday, after Orlando City’s Antoine Griezmann took home the honor for Matchday 31. This honor is also Chambost’s first of his career, and he’s the first to win it since Cucho Hernandez in 2024 (Matchday 37).

Chambost joined Malte Amundsen for the Team of the Matchday presented by Audi.

Since joining the Crew in June 2024, Chambost has notched one goal and 20 assists with the Black & Gold.

Chambost and the Crew continue their postseason push, facing FC Dallas Wednesday night away from home. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. EDT. You can watch the match on Apple TV.
