Massive Introduction: Gaston Kruskevich joins the Massive Report staff

My name is Gaston Kruskevich, a fifth-year senior at The Ohio State University, who has just joined the Massive Report team.

I am a prospective journalist focusing on sports. Being myself, a semi-professional soccer player of the third division of USSF (United States Soccer Federation) gives me a deep tactical understanding about the game I have played since I was five years old.

Also, as a journalist, I aim to reach the soccer community on TV, radio and social media, by providing investigative, creative and in-depth reporting about the sport we love.

Being a United States citizen, born in New York, and raised in South America provides me with some unique intercultural skills, which give me the ability to comprehend and adapt to different social situations and perspectives. In addition, my bicultural experience studying in two contrasting countries allowed me to develop strong communication skills and a persistent, driven personality to reach my goals.

My experience includes being a sports reporter for The Lantern, writing feature stories about Ohio State athletes. I am Scarlet and Gray Sports Radio’s first-ever Spanish broadcaster, covering men’s and women’s soccer and currently covering men’s and women’s basketball. Finally, I am currently working as a broadcaster and assistant producer for Big Ten+.

I strongly believe my experience and aptitude fit in with what is needed to be part of the Massive Report team and provide daily coverage about the Columbus Crew. My life experience shows a strong and self-motivated personality, ready to succeed in the journalism world.

Hard work, discipline and fair reporting are a must in my professional career. I will do my best here to contribute information to all our readers.
