After a thrilling 6-1 win against Atlanta United last week, the Columbus Crew is back in action at Lower.com Field on Saturday against Real Salt Lake. After missing a number of players last week, the Crew will get back the likes of goalkeeper Eloy Room, midfielder Lucas Zelarayan and center back Milos Degenek for this week’s game. With multiple young players getting their first goals, and Christian Ramirez making an impressive return to MLS with a brace, Columbus looks to go on a run early in the season.
With the Crew almost back to full strength, the team hopes to build on the success of the last match. It would be hard to predict another 6-1 game, but another home win isn’t off the table.
On the other end, Salt Lake comes into this match off of a 4-0 loss to St. Louis CITY SC at home last week. In a game in which the home side had control of the game, RSL came away with nothing to show for it. Real will have to travel to the Eastern time zone for the first time this season, so a bit of fatigue could be a factor, possibly allowing the Black & Gold to take advantage of the tired legs RSL.
Here is all the important information you will need to know regarding the match.
