Columbus Crew midfielder Taha Habroune has been selected to the United States Under-20 Men’s Youth National Team’s 21-player roster for the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, set to take place Sept. 27–Oct. 19 in Chile.
The 19-year-old Columbus native has featured in the Crew’s Starting XI on several occasions this season, continuing his development as a key contributor for the Black & Gold. Habroune has made 21 MLS appearances (six starts) in his young career, including 16 appearances and five starts in 2025. He tallied his first career goal in the Crew’s 4-2 comeback victory at FC Cincinnati on July 12, becoming the second-youngest goal scorer in Club history (19 years, 157 days), and registered his first MLS assist on Sept. 17 against New York City FC.
Internationally, Habroune has earned 14 caps and two goals with the U.S. U-20 MYNT, most recently competing in June friendlies against Norway and Colombia during training camp in Cairo, Egypt. He is one of 12 players on the World Cup roster who represented the U.S. at the 2024 Concacaf U-20 Championship in Mexico, where the team secured qualification for this year’s tournament.
Habroune previously competed at the 2023 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Indonesia, scoring once in four appearances (three starts) as the U.S. advanced to the Round of 16.
