One of the benefits of our move to an independent website and getting out from under the shadow of Vox Media is that it allows us more creative freedom to tell the story of soccer teams from around the area. We have chosen to spotlight the Delaware Rising Football Club, specifically their women’s team.

The DRFC women captured the first-ever NOSL Women’s Championship in 2023 when they defeated Ohio City by a 2-1 score and are poised to make another run in the playoffs. Currently, Rising is in third place with 15 points and one contest remaining.

You can catch them in action on Saturday, July 12th, against Twinsburg United. Kickoff from Buckeye Valley High School is scheduled for 5 PM.
